The ALBA CAROLINA BIKE RACE competition, registered this year in the competition calendar of the Romanian Cycling Federation, is a project of the BICICLIM ALBA Association in partnership with the Alba Iulia City Hall and is aimed at mountain biking (MTB) enthusiasts.
ALBA CAROLINA BIKE RACE is a cross country mountain bike competition, which will take place as part of a marathon event on 26.08.2023, starting from Alba Iulia, more precisely from Mihai Viteazul Street, intersection with Crișan Street (near the House of Culture of Trade Unions) and will cover several localities in the region over a distance of approximately 75 km.
The route cleaning and marking action will take place over a period of 60 days before the competition, with the involvement of the local community and members of the BICICLIM ALBA ASSOCIATION, an action that will continue after the competition to clean the route of any debris resulting from the event and to collect the markings.
The competition will take place on 5 routes: of 5 km, 12 km, 26 km, 40 km and 75 km, with different degrees of difficulty, presented in detail below. The routes were designed to cover all categories of participants, to be covered 100% by bicycle and to cross paths, roads and viewpoints that highlight the Alba Iulia-Inuri-Mamut area.
Registrations are made only online and are open until 24.08.2023 within the limit of available places, which is 700 participants. On-site registrations can only be made within the limit of available competition numbers. Registrations are validated only after payment of the registration fees according to the periods mentioned above. The registration fee can only be paid by bank transfer. Registration packages can be picked up from the start (House of Culture of Trade Unions) starting with 25.08.2023 at 19:00 and on the day of the competition between 07:00 – 09:00.
